Find your Float!

Ever wondered how some yogis just seem to float in and out of poses looking super light and airy? We’re going to explore how to get you to that place too!

This workshop is designed to demystify the float back and forth from standing to chaturanga, downdog to standing, and floating back and forth from downdog to seated postures (jump throughs).

What’s included:

  • An explanation of bandhas and how they help to find the elusive lightness and floatiness in the body

  • Core drills and the use of blocks to help gain an understanding of the “float” in your body

  • Modifications using blocks and props to help you begin to work on your “jump throughs” to seated postures from downdog

  • There will also be a few extra playful transitions sprinkled in for those that feel they are grasping the floatiness and would like to give them a try :)

  • A 10 min video sent on the day of the workshop on drills we’ve explored to keep your floating practice going!

This workshop is beginner friendly, but the techniques we’re exploring are more advanced in your yoga practice so do bear that in mind! All that is needed is a playful spirit, a sense of adventure and a real patience with yourself. Floating does not happen over night, but it is a beautiful practice and when your foundations are set up correctly, then it happens much faster!
